Brilliant! Go look at the Paul Hardcastle "19" video on my blog and try to tell me that Iraq isn't a quagmire like Vietnam.
Great cartoon. I actually saw the clip this weekend and was almost flabergasted that he admitted a mistake. My cynical-self thought it might be just an admission in order to maybe get his approval rating up. Plus, saying "Bring It On", which was a HUGE mistake, still doesn't address the REALLY HUGE mistakes - like the going to war, planning the war (or lack thereof), etc.
the "bring 'em on" mea culpa was totally staged.
Bush doesn't really care about that.
just the same, it makes for good editorial humor fodder, i reckon.
Truthspew; you spew the truth indeed! A quagmire like 'Nam, or worse. This time the US has earned the disrespect of most of the world and the undying enmity of millions of Muslims, even those moderates that once disapproved of the terrorists. Bush has aided and stimulated recruitment a thousandfold, no doubt.
Jay, I believe that you speak 100% truth also. I believe Bush's admission of mistake was insincere and merely a manipulative tactic.
